Client: Medical services company
Location: Markham
Offices: Three
Employees: 35
Started with PACE: 2008
The client was seeking a new IT service company, as its provider at the time was proving unreliable. Projects and routine maintenance tasks were falling through the cracks
Before
This client was really a patchwork of three separate entities. There were three separate infrastructures. Each had its own unique business processes, and its own components. For example, e-mail was through three different providers and retrieved in three different ways.
After
PACE implemented a major network-consolidation project. We created a custom infrastructure to allow the three entities to centralize management and share resources.
We started with Microsoft Exchange Server.
Now, e-mail is consolidated, and employees collaborate easily. Microsoft Exchange Server unifies communications between all employees, and allows them to share meetings, calendars, tasks, and more, all from their different locations.
PACE installed a firewall appliance.
Now, network security is consolidated across the whole infrastructure. Employees have secure remote access, and viruses and spam are under control.
PACE installed a server and merged all data.
Now, the company’s data is consolidated in one place, for secure storage, access and backup.
